Tonight is the squadron cadet Christmas event. This is a regular parade night, so all cadets are expected to attend. Attendance will be taken and count to your annual participation rate.
Civilian clothes, no uniforms
Duties will be assigned when you arrive (set up, tear down, other tasks)
Bring your pot luck items for 6 to 10 people per your level
Level 1 = Dessert
Level 2 = Main dish
Level 3 = Main dish
Level 4 = Appetizer or salad
Level 5 = Appetizer or salad
You are welcome to stay the night with us… this is a social event for cadets, families and friends.
We need parent volunteers to help serve the cadets. This will be to ensure fast and fair 1st servings. After all cadets have had their first helping, all parents and staff are welcome to sit, mingle and enjoy the night. Cadets will be free to get seconds on their own

Attention all cadets attending ground school. This month’s classes (6 & 13 December) have been moved to the multi-purpose room at the Kitsilano Community Centre (2690 Larch Street) from 1800 – 2130hrs. Please also communicate with Capt Dight to confirm you have received this info. There will also be email blasts out to the ground school participants.
135 Squadron is planning a trip to Europe for cadets to participate in the 75th anniversary ceremony of D-Day Europe from 30 May to 7 June, 2019.
The travel arrangements are being handled by a professional company that will handle flights, hotels, meals and safety. Education First Tours will have a representative at the squadron on Thursday, 23 November, 2017 at 7:00PM to present the options, itinerary and answer questions.
ALL parents are encouraged to attend the presentation and learn more about this once in a lifetime opportunity for the cadets to participate in a historic memorial event.
Please arrive no later than 6:45PM to ensure parking and an on-time start and end.
During our SSC AGM we announced plans for the squadron to participate in a tour of the fields of Normandy and Juno beach and our participation in the 75th Anniversary of D-Day. For those who were not able to attend the meeting below you will find a link to our plans and trip outline.
We will be posting a signup sheet to see who is interested in attending so we can move forward with a formal plan and application. We will also be hosting another information session on November 23rd at 7:00 PM.
