Starting October 25th 2018, Winter Dress will be in effect for ALL cadets. Please see below for a detailed description of Winter Dress (new items for winter dress have been bolded).
For all cadets with uniform, Winter Dress will include your wedge, dress shirt, tie, tunic and tunic belt, pants and pants belt, wool socks and boots.
For all cadets without uniform yet, the squadron T-shirt, with a black/grey long-sleeved shirt underneath is acceptable, along with black pants and black shoes.
If you do not have a squadron T-shirt yet, please follow the same dress mentioned above without the T-shirt.

The promotion exam for ALL cadets who applied for promotion will be held on Monday, October 22nd at 1900h at Seaforth Armoury.
Cadets may write the exam in appropriate civilian clothing. Please bring your own writing utensils with you to the exam.

POPPY TAGGING OCT 27-28 AND NOV 3-4, 2018
Poppy Tagging at the Billy Bishop Legion for Remembrance Day will take place in the mornings and afternoons of Oct 27-28 and Nov 3-4, 2018. Shifts will run approximately from 0900-1300 and from 1200-1600.
ALL cadets are expected to participate in at least 2 shifts between the 4 days. Please make sure you make yourself available accordingly.

REMEMBRANCE DAY PARADE - NOV 11, 2018
ALL CADETS are REQUIRED to attend the Remembrance Day Parade on November 11th, 2018.
The parade will take place at Victory Square in Downtown Vancouver.
Cadets should expect to be involved with the parade from 0900 to 1300.

UNIFORM MASTER CLASS - OCT 29, 2018
The squadron’s Standards Officer, Lt Malinab, will be hosting a tutorial/refresher session for ALL CADETS to learn and improve their techniques on how to iron, polish, prepare and wear your uniform!
It will take place on Monday October 29th, 2018 at 1830h at Seaforth Armoury. Cadets may attend in civilian clothing but should bring their ENTIRE UNIFORM with them to the session.
ALL CADETS, from new recruits to WO2s, are encouraged to attend, as this event has the potential to drastically improve your uniform standards and marks!

111 VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT - DEC 15, 2018
135 Bell-Irving has been invited to participate to a volleyball tournament hosted by 111 Pegasus RCACS.
CV Deng is looking for 8-10 motivated cadets to be part of 135’s volleyball team! All those interested can sign up here.
The volleyball tournament will take place on Saturday December 15th, 2018. It is tentatively schedule for 0800 - 1700h. The location has yet to be determined, but the squadron plans to arrange transport for all cadets participating.

828 SOCCER TOURNAMENT - NOV 17, 2018
Unfortunately, 135 will NO LONGER BE ABLE TO ATTEND the indoor soccer tournament hosted by 828 Hurricane RCACS on Nov 17, 2018.
However, we have been invited to attend a volleyball tournament on December 15th, 2018 hosted by 111 Pegasus RCACS.
All interested cadets are encouraged to attend! Please see the above post for more information and access to the sign-up sheet.
Ground school has already started since Sunday October 7th, 2018. This will be a joint ground school with 111 Pegasus RCACS. Due to changes in the flying scholarship examinations, ONLY CADETS WHO ARE ELIGIBLE AND WILL BE APPLYING TO GLIDER/POWER THIS SUMMER ARE ELIGIBLE TO TAKE PART IN THIS GROUND SCHOOL SESSION.
If you have NOT been attending ground school, but plan to apply to glider/power this year, please email email@example.com ASAP.
Cadets who are interested in ground school but are NOT applying to glider/power this year are invited to take part in another ground school session in the Spring of 2019.
