Squadron Announcements - Week of April 4th, 2019

  1. CO’s PARADE - APRIL 11TH, 2019

    1. April 11th, 2019 will be a CO’s parade. We will be announcing summer camp results, as well as recognizing cadets who have achieved their fitness and Standard First Aid levels.

    2. Dress for ALL CADETS will be C1’s (Wedge, dress shirt and tie, tunic, pants, belt, wool socks and boots).

    3. All parents, family, and friends are welcome to attend.


    1. 135 has been assigned a gliding date on the AFTERNOON of Apr 14, 2019.

    2. All cadets are encouraged to attend and may sign-up here.

    3. Cadets are to arrive at Pitt Meadows at 1245PM. There are lots of instructions to read, as gliding is weather dependent. PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS found in the sign-up sheet and email 135rcacs@gmail.com if there are any questions.


    1. The squadron will be changing to summer dress starting APRIL 18TH, 2019.

    2. Summer dress includes your wedge, short-sleeved dress shirt with nametag and ribbons (if applicable), pants, belt, wool socks and boots.

    3. Please contact the NCOs in your flight if you have questions about how to iron and wear Summer Dress properly.

  4. 135 ULTIMATE TOURNAMENT - APR 27, 2019

    1. 135 will be hosting and participating in an ultimate tournament taking place on place on Saturday April 27th, 2019 from 0800 - 1700 at UBC. The specific detail and address of the field will be provided closer to the day of the tournament.

    2. Those who are interested in participating should speak to CV Deng and sign up here.

  5. BAND COMPETITION - MAY 11, 2019

    1. 135 will be participating in the 2019 Lower Mainland Band Competition with a joint band with sea cadets from HMCS Discovery.

    2. If you were NOT in the band, but play an instrument and would like to participate in the 2019 band competition, please email Lt(N) Wisla (michael.a.wisla@gmail.com) and inform him of your interest, as well as what instrument you play.

  6. SQUADRON HIKE - JUN 01, 2019 (JOINT WITH 808 AND 111 SQN)

    1. The squadron has been invited to participate in a hike up the Chief in Squamish with 808 and 111 Squadron on Saturday June 1st, 2019. Cadets may sign up here.

    2. Cadets will meet at 0815 at Seaforth Armoury and should return at approximately 1700. Transportation to the Chief will be provided to and from Seaforth Armoury.

    3. We will be having lunch at one of the Chief’s peaks and are planning to provide lunch for all cadets. More updates regarding lunch will be posted closer to the date of the hike.


    1. The squadron will be starting the Duke of Edinburgh’s awards program! This is a great opportunity for our cadets to challenge and develop themselves.

    1. ALL CADETS, returning or new, are required to pay the Squadron Assessment Fee. Those who have not WILL NOT be allowed to participate in any squadron extra-curricular activities.
